Engineering professor lists 4BD in Newport News

David P. Gluch has listed for sale a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 34 Brandon Road in Newport News for $249,000.

Gluch paid $195,000 for the property in May 2009. The 2,029-square-foot house was built in 1940 in Hilton Village. Bruce Heath of ERA Real Estate Professionals is the listing agent.

Gluch is a professor of electrical, computer, software and systems engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He previously was a senior member of the technical staff at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

He holds a Ph.D. in physics from Florida State University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 1,570 home sales in Newport News during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $145,000.
