Newport News Arts Commission accepting grant applications

Grant applications for fiscal year 2013 are being accepted by the Newport News Arts Commission. 

This organization, at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center, 2410 Wickham Ave., provides funding for performing and fine arts programs within organizations. To be eligible for a grant, organizations must have a board of directors, been in operation for at least one year and have visible support in the community.

In addition, activities hosted by the organization must take place in Newport News or nearby and serve the residents of the city.
