Newport News businesswoman receives Small Business Insight award
Shelly Fitzgerald, executive vice president of BOSH Global Services, received the 2012 Small Business Insight of Hampton Roads Minerva award.
The award recognizes Fitzgerald for her business leadership, growing her business and community service.
"Shelly Fitzgerald is deeply involved within the local community," said Art Radtke, publisher of "Informed Entrepreneur," the online publication of the SBI Owners Council, according to the press release. "She is a shining example of an ideal Minerva honoree. Now, more than ever, we depend on local companies to spur innovation, provide jobs and drive our economy forward."
Fitzgerald co-founded BOSH in 2003. Based in Newport News, it boasts more than 130 professionals spanning four business sectors.
The Minerva Award is named for the Roman goddess of commerce. It is awarded annually to the 20 top businesswomen in Hampton Roads.
