Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce organizes budget discussion July 24
The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will host a budget discussion from 8-10 a.m. at Newport News Marriott at City Center Tuesday, July 24.
Topics for the discussion will include what Congress and the Obama administration are doing, the practical consequences and impact of sequestration and proposed budget cuts, what the state of Virginia is doing, what can and should be done to protect local interests and how to deal with the issues and opportunities that arise when military facilities are closed or expanded.
The cost to attend is $25 for Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce members and $35 for nonmembers.
