Newport News Police Department incident report, July 6

The Newport News Police Department reported the following incidents Friday, July 6:

Tony E. Beverly, 47, was arrested on a charge of possession of a Schedule I or II drug at 1:46 a.m. in the 1000 block of Garden Drive.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Larry Brown, 63, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, first offense, with a blood-alcohol content greater than .20 percent at 11:15 a.m. in the 200 block of 26th Street.

Michael R. Gordon, 24, was arrested on a charge of false report: falsely summon, report to law enforcement at 11:50 a.m. in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.
