Siemens PLM Software named best diversity company five years running
An engineering and information technology magazine has named Siemens PLM software a Best Diversity Company for the fifth straight year.
The readers of Diversity/Careers in Engineering & Information Technology Magazine recognized companies with exceptional qualities and diversity efforts in a March/April survey. Diversity/Careers CEO and publisher Roberta Renard says the people have spoken.
“Siemens PLM Software has been recognized as a 2012 Best Diversity Company, for its support of minorities and women, attention to work/life balance and commitment to diversity,” she said in a press release.
Siemens PLM (product lifecycle management) Software is a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division with more than 71,000 customers worldwide. It is headquartered in Plano, Texas.
Siemens and its Global Community Relations director Hulas King say diversity is crucial to maintaining a healthy, leading company in the PLM market.
“We have a long history of making diversity a huge priority,” King said. “We consider our diverse employee base a true competitive advantage.”
Siemens PLM has an office in Newport News.
