Go Green Expo to be held Sept. 22
The Go Green Expo—a free festival featuring eco-friendly products, educational speakers and ideas for eco-living—will be Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Brittingham-Midwest Community Center.
The event takes place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and is sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Newport News Master Gardeners Association.
The fest will include more than 70 vendors selling eco-friendly products, a bake sale held by the Newport News Master Gardeners, live music, fitness and dance demos, a farmers market and hands-on demonstrations and workshops.
There will also be activities for children and several showings of the movie “The Dirt.”
The Brittingham-Midwest Community Center is located at 570 McLawhorne Drive in Newport News.
