Newport News Police arrest, charge 2 for assault on a family member

The Newport News Police Department reported two arrests Tuesday, July 17.

Jermaine A. Hardy, 26, was arrested by the Newport News Police Department at 2:16 a.m. Tuesday. Hardy was detained on charges of assault on a family member from the 300 block of Boulder Drive.

The Newport News Police Department arrested Johnathan E. Burnell, 37, in the 300 block of Wells Road Tuesday. Burnell was arrested at 12:03 p.m. on charges of assault on a family member.
