NARFE Peninsula Chapter 682 meeting to take place Monday, Aug. 13

The Peninsula Chapter 682 of the National Active, Retired Federal Employee Association (NARFE) will host its 2012 annual summer social at the Kiln Creek Country Club and Golf Resort at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13.

The social is open to all civilian federal employees, including members, non-members, active, retired, spouses and friends. The meeting will feature a buffet lunch, desserts and a presentation by guest speaker Glen Odor, the executive director for the Fort Monroe Authority.

There will also be door prizes, raffles and a silent auction with proceeds to benefit Alzheimer's research.

The cost to attend the buffet lunch is $20. Tickets will be on sale through Thursday, Aug. 9.
