Newport News Police Department arrest report, July 22 to July 28

The following arrests were reported by the Newport News Police Department in Newport News from July 22 to July 28:

On July 22, the Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Richard L. Journell was arrested on a charge of DWI, first offense, with a blood-alcohol content of less than .08 percent. Journell, 41, was taken into custody from the 200 block of 26th Street at 4:27 a.m.

On July 23, Esteve Jose was arrested on a charge of trespassing after having been forbidden to do so. Jose, 34, was taken into custody from the 12700 block of Mariners Ct at 3:50 a.m.

Wanda F. Davis, 48, was arrested by the Newport News Sheriff's Office at 11:01 a.m. July 23 on a charge of trespassing after having been forbidden to do so from the 200 block of 26th Street.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Sherry S. Robinson, 33, in the 200 block of 26th Street on July 23 on a charge of contempt of court (without jury).

On July 23, the Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested John E. Nicholson on a charge of legacy data with an unknown offense charge. Nicholson, 40, was taken into custody from the 200 block of 26th Street at 2:14 p.m.

On July 24, the Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Tarrell M. Phillips on a charge of license revoked: driving without license, first offense. Phillips, 28, was taken into custody from the 200 block of 26th Street at 12:01 a.m.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Nathaniel J. McFadden, 32, in the 200 block of 26th Street on July 24. McFadden was arrested at 12:10 a.m. on a charge of legacy data with an unknown offense.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Jermaine L. Wilson, 26, in the 200 block of 26th Street on July 24 on a charge of drugs: possession of with intent to manufacture or sell Schedule I or II.

Jerry N. Jackson, 55, was arrested in the 700 block of 22nd Street at noon on July 24 on a charge of stolen goods: buy, receive, larceny greater or equal to $200.

Clarence R. Brennen, 27, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. July 24 on a charge of burglary: at night, to commit felony, grand larceny over $200 (not from a person) from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Kameela R. Khursheed, 32, in the 200 block of 26th Street on July 24 on a charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense.

Doris R. Motley, 40, was arrested at 1:49 a.m. July 25 on a charge of assault: on family member, third-plus offense, from the 100 block of Lark Circle.

Enrico N. Mayes, 33, was arrested by the Newport News Sheriff's Office at 1:45 p.m. July 25 on a charge of legacy data with an unknown offense from the 200 block of 26th Street.

Chadow B. Stewart, 19, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. July 26 on a charge of malicious wounding from the 100 block of Avery Cres.

On July 26, Christopher L. Pettaway was arrested on charges of abuse over telephone, trespassing after having been forbidden to do so do so, assault and battery simple, obstruct justice: without threats, force and disregarding or eluding command of law enforcement. Pettaway, 31, was taken into custody from the 5600 block of Marshall Avenue at 2:45 a.m.

Deia Hardy, 36, was arrested in the 400 block of South Trellis Court at 2:51 a.m. July 26 on a charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

David C. Johnson, 31, was arrested at 2:53 a.m. July 26 on a charge of driving on suspended, revoked license from the 700 block of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard

Glenda J. Gaskins, 49, was arrested at 7:50 a.m. July 26 on a charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense from the 700 block of Waterfront Circle.

Joanne L. Samuels, 49, was arrested at 7:54 a.m. July 26 on a charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

Dawnya L. Oddo, 38, was arrested at 7:56 a.m. July 26 on a charge of grand larceny over $200 (not from a person) from the 300 block of 51st Street.

Yvette M. Carter, 41, in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 8:06 a.m. July 26 was arrested on a charge of drugs: manufacture with intent to distribute Schedule I or II, second or subsequent convictions.

Phillip J. Holland, 40, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 9:40 a.m. July 26 on charges of assault: (misdemeanor), abduction: by force, intimidation or deception and sodomy: by force or victim helplessness.

Elliot J. Clary, 27, was arrested at 10:20 a.m. July 26 on charges of aggravated sexual battery: victim less than 13 years; and rape: intercourse with victim less than 13 years, from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

Ezequel Santos-Martinez, 30, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 10:42 a.m. July 26 on a charge of assault on a family member.

Minnie C. Hyman, 26, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 10:45 a.m. July 26 on a charge of order: not comply with a court order.

On July 26, Felton L. Thompkins, 47, was arrested on a charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 10:52 a.m.

On July 26, Carl A. Prostell was arrested on a charges of malicious wounding and nondomestic emergency protection order violation (commit assault and battery upon person). Prostell, 30, was taken into custody from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 10:57 a.m.

Carl E. Knightnor, 27, was arrested at 11:08 a.m. July 26 on a charge of failure to appear on a felony offense from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

Kevin L. White, 29, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 11:28 a.m. July 26 on a charge of contempt of court (without jury).

Michael J. Collins, 41, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 11:46 a.m. July 26 on a charge of alcohol safety program violation.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Marvin R. Anthony, 50, in the 200 block of 26th Street at 12:11 p.m. July 26 on a charge of violation of probation on a felony offense.

On July 26, Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Jessica Leach-Cole, 29 was arrested at 2 p.m. on a charge of prescription: obtain by fraud, forgery, etc., in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 2 p.m.

Michael A. Howard, 24, was arrested at 1:37 p.m. July 26 on charges of failure to appear on traffic summons, grand larceny over $200 (not from a person), intentional damage to a monument, value less than $,1000; and vehicle, aircraft, boat, etc: destroy, injure in the 13100 block of Warwick Boulevard.

Oziris S. Delande, 18, was arrested at 3:10 p.m. July 26 on a charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

John P. Reynolds, 24, was arrested by, the Newport News Sheriff's Office at 3:25 p.m. July 26 on a charge of possession of a Schedule I or II drug from the 200 block of 26th Street.

Nikita Brown, 25, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. July 26 on a charge of violation of probation on a felony offense from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

George Lowther, 62, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 3:30 p.m. July 26 on a charge of drugs: possession of Schedule I or II drug and conspiracy to violate the Virginia Drug Control Act.

Thelma I. Rand, 39, in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 4:11 p.m. July 26 on charges of stolen goods: buy receive; larceny less than $200; other forgery writing not in 18.2 168 and 18.2-170; and obtain money etc.: false pretense larceny ($200 or more).

April D. Fowler, 32, was arrested at 4:57 p.m. July 26 on a charge of failure to appear on a felony offense from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

Raymond E. Vann, 37, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 5:15 p.m. July 26 on a charge of contempt of court (without jury).

Shantia N. Davis, 23, was arrested at 5:51 p.m. July 26 on a charge of failure to appear on traffic summons from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

On July 26, Terrence J. Leonard, 24, was arrested at 7:01 p.m. on a charge of contempt of court (without jury) in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:01 p.m.

On July 26, Rashad K. Reynolds was arrested at 7:08 p.m. on a charge of contempt of court (without jury) in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:08 p.m.

Charles R. Whitmer, 49, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. July 26 in the 15900 block of Warwick Boulevard on a charge of possession of a Schedule I or II drug.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Troy N. Walls, 33, in the 200 block of 26th Street at 9:39 p.m. July 26 on charges of burglary (entering a building to commit larceny, etc.) and grand larceny (pick pocket, more than $5, from a person).

Dominique D. Joyner, 24, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. July 27 on a charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense from the 100 block of Ash Avenue.

Leslie L. Tomaino, 31, was arrested in the 400 block of Oyster Point Road at 12:43 a.m. July 27 on a charge of operate a motor vehicle under the influence.

On July 27, Marvel J. Barnes, 45, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. on a charge of possession of a Schedule I or II drug in the 500 block of Randolph Road.

Devin Q. Bowles, 18, was arrested by the Newport News Sheriff's Office at 1:08 a.m. July 27. Bowles was arrested on a charge of burglary: at night, to commit felony; grand larceny over $200 (not from a person) attempt; firearm: possession by person less than 18 years old from the 200 block of 26th Street.

On July 27, the Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Dumont T. Jones, 39, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. on a charge of license revoked (driving without a license, second offense) in the 200 block of 26th Street.

Christopher N. Eriksen, 28, was arrested by the Newport News Sheriff's Office at 1:43 a.m. July 27. Eriksen was arrested on a charge of legacy data with an unknown offense charge from the 200 block of 26th Street.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Scott B. McCarthy, 35, in the 200 block of 26th Street at 3:48 a.m. July 27 on a charge of robbery: all, firearm: use in commission of felony, (first offense).

On July 27, the Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Lorenzo M. Shaw, 19, was arrested at 6:21 a.m. on a charge of malicious wounding, assault or battery by mob in the 200 block of 26th Street.

Timothy O. Fitzgerald, 26, was  arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:11 a.m. July 27 on a charge of contempt of court (without jury).

Latoya Gorham, 27, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:19 a.m. July 27 on a charge of contempt of court (without jury).

On July 27, Donald J. Williams, 25, was arrested at 7:33 a.m. on a charge of assault: on family member and order: not complying with a court order in the 700 block of Antrim Drive at 7:33 a.m.

Noah L. West, 21, was arrested at 9:06 a.m. July 27 on a charge of contempt of court (without jury) from the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

On July 27, Orlando V. Wade, 21, was arrested at 9:3 a.m. on a charge of embezzlement greater than or equal to $200 in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 9:31 a.m.

Natalie M. Jackson, 19, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 10:11 a.m. July 27 on a charge of probation: violation on misdemeanor offense, bank note, coin: forgery or employ as true.

Curt L. Heckel, 57, was arrested in the 9700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 11:20 a.m. July 27 on a charge of credit card larceny: take, obtain number, credit card forgery, credit card fraud by person under $200.

On July 28, Darnell L. McCallum was arrested at 12:15 on a charge of being drunk in public in the 900 block of Emma Kate Court.

On July 28, Legkiy Vitaly, 39, was arrested at 1:41 a.m. on a charge of being drunk in publc in the 11000 block of Warwick Boulevard.

The Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Malik S. Hall, 34, in the 200 block of 26th Street at 5:53 a.m. July 28 on charges of robbery: all; firearm: possession by a nonviolent felony conviction not within 10 years; firearm: receive stolen or aid in concealing; accident: driver not report, with damage under $50; gang: participate in criminal act; malicious assault where the victim was severely injured; carjacking, firearm: use in commission of felony, first offense; and firearm: shoot in public place, cause injury.

Alex J. Perez, 23, was arrested by, the Newport News Sheriff's Office at 6:41 a.m. July 28. Perez was arrested on a charge of first-offense DWI with a blood-alcohol content between .08 to.14 percent from the 200 block of 26th Street.

On July 28, Everett L. Richardson, 48, was arrested at 8:56 a.m. on a charge of domestic emergency protection order violation (third offense within 20 years) from the 200 block of 26th Street at 8:56 a.m.

Kimberly R. Meade, 29, was arrested in the 500 block of Bland Boulevard at 11:40 a.m. July 28 on a charge of drugs: possession of Schedule I or II and contributing to delinquency.

On July 28, Richard E. Cherry, 53, was arrested at 11:55 a.m. on a charge of fugitive: on felony without warrant extradition in the 3200 block of Orcutt Avenue.

On July 28, Newport News Sheriff's Office arrested Richard E. Cherry, 53, at 1:33 p.m. on a charge of fugitive: on felony without warrant extradition the 200 block of 26th Street.
