Newport News native graduates from Drexel University
Donnelle Brumback, of Newport News, has graduated with a Master of Science degree in engineering management from Drexel University's College of Engineering in Philadelphia, Pa.
Brumback was one of 5,000 students to graduate at the university's 125th commencement ceremonies.
Speakers and honorary degree recipients at the event were Linda Gooden, vice president of Lockheed Martin's Information Systems & Global Solutions; Paul R. Ehrlich, ecologist and evolutionist; Sheila Bair, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation chairperson; David A. Kessler, former United States Food and Drug Administration commissioner; and Nile G. Rogers, musician, composer, arranger and guitarist.

Drexel University was founded in 1891 and is the 14th largest private university in the country. It is located at 3141 Chestnut St., in Philadelphia.
