Newport News Police Department incident report, Sept. 1

The Newport News Police Department reported the following incidents on Sept. 1:

Jeffrey T. Johnson, 26, was arrested on charges of pickpocketing, value not in excess of $200, at 3:04 a.m. on 26th Street.

Vincent E. King, 43, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 2 a.m. on Marshall Avenue.

Anthony M. Robertson, 29, was arrested on charges of fleeing or eluding an enforcement officer at 2:55 a.m. on Jefferson Avenue.

Bradley M. Wagoner, 19, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence with a suspended or revoked driver's license at 4:51 a.m. on Oscar Loop.

Akieem T. Gray, 22, was arrested on charges of domestic assault at 6:12 a.m. on Newsome Drive.

Mark A. Shaw, 57, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 9:37 a.m. on J Clyde Morris Boulevard.

Katrina R. Blount, 44, was arrested on charges of felony violation of probation at 10:26 a.m. on 25th Street.

Latonya A. Scott, 24, was arrested on charges of failure to appear in traffic court at 10:42 a.m. on 22nd Street.

Xzavier D. Thomas, 20, was arrested on charges of armed robbery at 4:56 p.m. on Chestnut Avenue.

Brodus J. Rivers, 47, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 7:14 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue.

John R. Simms, 43, was arrested on charges of failure to comply with sex offender registration law at 7:45 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue.

Robert S. Ham, 41, was arrested on charges of larceny of value not in excess of $200 at 10:14 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue.

An instance of theft of parts from a vehicle was reported at a residence or home in the 1400 block of Ventura Way on Sept. 1, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, No. 201207000, is under further investigation.

An incident involving theft from vehicle was reported Sept. 1 in a parking lot or garage in the north precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 500 block of Helm Drive, and the case is under further investigation.

An incident involving simple assault was reported Sept. 1 in a residence or home in the north precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 800 block of Lucas Creek Road, and the case is under further investigation.

An instance of leaving the scene of a crime was reported at a grocery or supermarket in the 12900 block of Jefferson Avenue on Sept. 1, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, No. 201207008, came from the north precinct, and the case is under further investigation.
