Newport News Police release Sept. 16 incident report

The Newport News Police Department reported the following incidents Sept. 16:

Dezja N. Adkins-Loftin, 24, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 1:49 a.m. on Warwick Boulevard.

Terrance J. Moore, 32, was arrested on charges of battery at 2:36 a.m. on Warwick Boulevard.

Charles Crook, 40, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence at 2:55 a.m. on Warwick Boulevard.

Brandon A. Harris, 31, was arrested on charges of domestic assault at 3:39 a.m. on Warwick Boulevard.

John Geno, 29, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence at 6:10 a.m. on 26th Street.

Theresa Fleming, 51, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 7:08 p.m. on 25th Street.

Antonio Coaxum, 24, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 9:34 p.m. on Mortar Loop.

An instance of simple assault was reported at a residence or home in the 400 block of Logan Place on Sept. 16, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, number 201258414, came from the central precinct, in beat 21 and report area 22. The case is under further investigation.

A case involving shoplifting is under further investigation, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was detailed Sept. 16 in report number 201207425, at a liquor store in the 300 block of Oyster Point Road (central precinct).
