Newport News Police respond to several incidents Sept. 17

The Newport News Police Department reported the following incidents Sept. 17:

Victor H. Garcia, 21, was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing at 10:18 a.m. on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard.

Ashleigh D. Crenshaw, 18, was arrested on charges of battery at 11:57 a.m. on 26th Street.

A case involving simple assault is closed or cleared, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was detailed Sept. 17 in report number 201258426, at a residence or home in the 500 block of Logan Place (central precinct).

An incident involving leaving the scene of a crime was reported Sept. 17 in a parking lot or garage in the central precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 700 block of J.
