Newport News Police Department incident report, Oct. 5

The Newport News Police Department reported the following incidents on Oct. 5:   Jamahl Bethea, 22, was arrested on charges of criminal damage to property of value not in excess of $1000 at 8:30 a.m. 26th Street.   Darin J. Barrack, 24, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence with a suspended or revoked drivers license at 8:16 a.m. 26th Street.   Andrew R. Ward, 28, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence at 10:50 a.m. Chartwell Drive.   Dean P. Newman, 42, was arrested on charges of contempt of court at 1:55 p.m. Warwick Boulevard.   Berna D. Johnson, 22, was arrested on charges of domestic assault at 3:09 p.m. 42nd Street.   Clinton L. Whitfield, 26, was arrested on charges of domestic assault at 3:09 p.m. 42nd Street.   Troy Z. Foster, 24, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence at 9:30 p.m. Savage Drive.   Marcell T. Smith, 26, was arrested on charges of Remove at 10:44 p.m. 26th Street.   Akieem T. Gray, 23, was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing at 10:47 p.m. Newsome Drive.   An instance of juvenile runaway was reported at a residence or home in the 1300 block of Roanoke Ave on Friday, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, number 201259003, came from the south precinct, in beat 14 and report area 248. The case is under further investigation.   An instance of intimidation was reported at a highway, a road or alley in the 800 block of 35th St on Friday, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, number 201258992, came from the south precinct, in beat 14 and report area 224. The case is under further investigation.   An incident involving fraud (illegal use of a credit card or ATM) was reported on Friday in a convenience store in the south precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 2600 block of Jefferson Ave, which is in the 11 police beat (report area 228). The case is under further investigation.   A case involving forcible sodomy is under further investigation, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was detailed on Friday in report number 201258998, at a residence or home in the 2300 block of Jefferson Ave (south precinct).   A case involving a drug or narcotic offense is closed or cleared, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was detailed on Friday in report number 201258976, at a parking lot or garage in the 6100 block of Jefferson Ave (south precinct).   An instance of property damage was reported at a residence or home in the 2600 block of West Ave on Friday, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, number 201207996, came from the south precinct, in beat 12 and report area 2. The case is under further investigation.   An instance of curfew violation was reported at a highway, a road or alley in the 700 block of 16th St on Friday, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, number 201258980, came from the south precinct, in beat 11 and report area 238.
