Newport News Police Department report, Oct. 19

The Newport News Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests on Oct. 19:

Emanuel D. Seldon, 23, was arrested on charges of battery at 3:30 a.m. on 16th Street.
 
Emanuel D. Seldon, 23, was arrested on charges of intentional or unlawful damage done to a monument at 5:50 a.m. on 26th Street.
 
Wesley K. Bowman, 50, was arrested on charges of driving with no license at 11:19 a.m. on Devon Place.
 
Dylan O. Sherrod, 20, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor violation of probation at 1:18 p.m. on Colony Road.
 
Jarod C. Olive-Stalling, 36, was arrested on charges of rape at 1:56 p.m. on Warwick Boulevard.
 
Brent M. Hartman, 20, was arrested on charges of felony violation of probation at 1:39 p.m. on Warwick Boulevard.
 
Lisa A. Gooden, 50, was arrested on charges of intentional or unlawful damage done to a monument at 4:15 p.m. on Rotunda Circle.
 
Tameka A. Johnson, 23, was arrested on charges of failure to appear in court for a misdemeanor offense at 4:37 p.m. on Ridley Circle.
 
Samona Wells-Marcus, 40, was arrested on charges of violating an emergency protection order at 6:56 p.m. on Manor Road.
 
Rodney Daniels, 54, was arrested on charges of forgery at 8:06 p.m. on 26th Street.

An incident involving property damage was reported in a hotel or motel in the south precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 6100 block of Jefferson Avenue, which is in the 13 police beat (report area 198). The case is under further investigation. The case was assigned to B. J. Rodgers.
 
An incident involving property damage was reported in a residence in the south precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 800 block of Lassiter Drive, which is in the 11 police beat (report area 246). The case is under further investigation.
 
An incident involving burglary or breaking and entering was reported in a residence in the south precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 4200 block of Newsome Drive, which is in the 13 police beat (report area 219). The case is under further investigation.
 
An instance of tampering with an automobile was reported at a highway, a road or alley in the 5900 block of Orcutt Avenue, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, number 201208369, came from the south precinct, in beat 13 and report area 206. The case is under further investigation. It has been assigned to B. F. Davis.
 
A case involving sexual assault, rape is closed or cleared, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was detailed in report number 201259435, at a residence or home in the 1000 block of 33rd Street (south precinct).
 
A case involving larceny is under further investigation, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was detailed in report number 201259445, at a residence or home in the 1900 block of Jefferson Ave (south precinct).
